This mission style bookcase was built for a client who works for a law firm in DC. He was looking for a set of office furniture which blended traditional design elements with some modern features. The bookcase is made from solid white oak and is built with a traditional mission construction featuring through tenon joinery for the shelf frame. The mortise and tenon doors feature handblown reproduction glass. The backboards of the bookcase are solid oak with a ship-lap construction.
As with all my pieces, the size, style, wood selection, and coloring can be customized to suit the customer's requirements.
