Country Hepplewhite Console or Hall Table
This console or hall table was built as part of a matched set of four tables for a customer's living room. The table tops for this set were all made from a matched set of highly figured tiger maple (each board was 18-19" wide). The overall design complements a wide variety of styles and has roots in period pieces of country Hepplewhite styles as well as traditional shaker pieces. The table base was constructed from solid curly cherry base and the drawer front was selected from a set of highly figured curly bird's eye maple. This table features a drawer with brass reproduction pulls. The overall dimensions of table is approximately 28" high x 14" deep x 40" wide. The construction includes a pinned mortise and tenon joinery, matched single board tops, hand cut dovetail drawer joinery, a decorative bead around the apron, reproduction brass pulls and tapered legs.

Primary construction is solid curly cherry and tiger maple with poplar and maple secondary woods.

Wide boards and careful grain matching for full grain patterns - this pair of tables features a single board top.
Mortise and tenon and handcut dovetail joinery throughout the piece.
Tapered legs
All drawers feature handcut dovetails at all four corners - with solid wood drawer bottoms
Optional reproduction locks on the drawers
All hardware is reproduction quality solid brass
This table was finished with a hand rubbed varnish.
